BEHIND THE LENS

Hi, I'm Laklin.

I’m a Nashville-based photographer who believes the best photographs aren’t forced — they’re felt.

To me, photography is so much more than creating beautiful images. It’s an art, a passion, and an incredible privilege to document the ebbs and flows of life. The quiet in-between moments, the people who make us who we are, and the fleeting seasons we wish we could hold onto a little longer — these are the things worth remembering.

My hope is that every session feels relaxed and meaningful, allowing you to be fully present with the people you love rather than worrying about how you look or where to stand. I want to capture your story honestly, preserving the connections, emotions, and little details that make your life uniquely yours.

And through it all, I see the Lord’s goodness in the most beautiful ways — in the tenderness of a first dance, the arrival of a tiny new life, or the sparkling twinkle in your grandmother’s eyes. These moments bring my heart so much joy. They remind me that even the ordinary parts of life are sacred, and that the people we love are among our greatest gifts.

My prayer is that these photographs become more than memories of how things looked, but reminders of how they felt — treasured for generations, through every season of life, the joyful and the difficult alike. May we look back on them always and see the beauty of the lives we’ve been given, and the ways God has been faithful through it all.
